Personalize the Plan Quality Rating
Important: The doctor information in our all-plan provider directory comes from several sources. For most plans, it was provided by the insurers directly to us. For some plans, it was compiled at a point in time by using static output files or printed plan provider files (PDFs), manual extraction of doctor names from plan websites where allowed, and matching algorithms using the National Provider database. Some insurers chose not to provide any data on provider directories, so for these plans we do not display any provider information. Although we have attempted to make the directory as thorough as possible, under the best of circumstances, it will not be complete and may also contain names of doctors who have dropped out of a plan's network since we last looked at the plans' directories.

Average Year
Your costs for health care include more than just your insurance premiums.
Our Yearly Cost Estimates include not only your premiums, but also what you have to pay for costs not covered by your plan for doctors, hospital, prescriptions, and other services.
We calculate "typical" costs for someone like you so that you can easily compare plans on an estimate of total out-of-pocket costs, not just premiums.
Our cost estimates assume you use preferred providers in plans that have them.
Bad Year
Premiums plus out-of-pocket costs in a bad year, where you have high medical expenses, can be crippling.
Our "Cost in a Bad Year" compares plans on premiums plus what you might have to pay in a bad year for doctor, hospital, drug, and other charges not fully paid for by the insurer. And it tells you how likely people like you (same age, family size, health status, and other characteristics) are to have such a high cost year.
Our cost estimates assume you use preferred providers in plans that have them.
Quality Score
Our "Quality" score is based on the overall rating of the plan by members in an independent national survey.
Click on "Personalize" and you can create a quality score based on what's important to you - things like customer service, paying your claims, quality and availability of doctors, and others.
Along with cost comparisons, quality scores are important to consider when choosing a plan.
Is my doctor in the plan?
"Is my doctor in the plan?" ranks a close second to cost when you're choosing health insurance. We answer the question by letting you tell us names of doctors you care about. We then show you, on a single screen, which of those doctors are in which plans.
But remember, if you are choosing a plan based on doctor participation, ALWAYS call the doctor to confirm that they will be accepting new patients for the upcoming year, and that they will be accepting the plan you are considering.
